Beyond the Room

For therapists ready to work with more depth

Beyond the Room is where learning becomes practice

Beyond the Room is a professional learning membership for therapists who want more than another training course. It is a place to keep thinking, reflecting and developing with practical teaching you can bring directly into your work with clients.

Created for the reality of being a therapist

Therapy rarely fits neatly into a text book. Clients bring complexity, stuck points, relationships, nervous systems and real lives into the room. Beyond the Room helps you keep developing the confidence, flexibility and depth to meet what actually shows up .

What you will find inside Beyond the Room

You don't have to develop as a therapist on your own

So much of being a therapist happens behind a closed door. We sit with complexity, uncertainty and responsibiity, and it can be easy to feel that should somehow have all the answers.
Beyond the Room was created as an antidote to that. A place to keep learning and thinking alongside other therapists, to stay curious about your work and to remember that developing as a practitioner is an ongoing process, not something you ever have to complete.
You can come live when you are able, catch up with the replays when you're not, and use the membership in a way that fits around the reality of your own practice and life .

Is Beyond the Room for You?

Beyond the Room is for therapists who care deeply about their work and want somewhere to keep learning, reflecting and growing without the pressure to know everything already.

  • You value depth and integration rather than collecting more techniques
  • You want practical ideas you can actually use with the clients sitting in front of you
  • You sometimes encounter stuck points and would welcome fresh ways of thinking about them
  • You are interested in the relationship between thoughts, emotions, the nervous system, and our relational histories
  • You want to keep developing yourself as the practitioner , not only your clinical knowledge
  •  You appreciate learning that is grounded, thoughtful, and connected to the reality of therapeutic work
  • You value being part of a supportive community of therapists , with the opportunities to learn, reflect, and grow alongside others

You don't need to practice in the same way that I do . Curiosity, openess and a desire to keep developing are whats important .

“Working as a private practitioner can be isolating, so having a group of therapists going through similar experiences and also interested in professional development made sense to me. I really value the regular meetings, whether they are trainings that add layers to the REBT foundation or opportunities to reflect on how practice is going. It’s good to have a space that is ‘held’ for you as a practitioner, when so much energy is expended holding space for other people. There’s a great counterbalance to it. I’ve found something useful and actionable every time, and often it’s incredibly relevant to something I might be feeling stuck with in my client work at that time. Turning up consistently as a solid private practitioner requires more than clinical knowledge. It requires feeling supported outside the therapy room, keeping refreshed and up to date with helpful conceptualisations, research and interventions, and maintaining an ever-learning attitude.” Rex

.“One of the main reasons I joined Beyond the Room was the opportunity to connect with other therapists and feel part of a community. Having a regular opportunity to connect with other therapists, either in the training or reflection sessions, has made the work feel less isolating. It has always been important to me to work with clients in a holistic way, and the training sessions consistently inform and support this. Beverley regularly brings in teaching about the nervous system and its key role in emotional regulation and wellbeing. The knowledge and tools provided around this have become core to the way I continue to work with clients.” Aimee

Meet Your Guide

Beverley Harper is an Integrative  Psychotherapist, EMDR therapist, Clinical Hypnotherapist, EFT practitioner  and trainer with  more than twenty years' experience helping people understand themselves, create meaningful and lasting change and develop a kinder, more supportive relationship with themselves.

Her approach brings together practical psychology, nervous system awareness and compassion with a strong belief that insight is most useful when it can be translated into something that makes a difference in everyday life  and therapeutic tools that can be applied in everyday life.

Beverley’s work is warm, relational and grounded. Rather than offering quick fixes or one-size-fits-all answers, she helps people understand what may be happening beneath their thoughts, feelings and patterns, while offering practical tools they can use in their own lives.

Whether she is working with clients, teaching therapists or creating accessible psychological resources, her aim is the same: to make good psychological support understandable, useful and genuinely human.

“Beyond The Room is a fantastic resource. It offers both an excellent package of CPD to enhance and build on your REBT skills and experience, and a community of peers who can offer support, encouragement and advice.  I have found Beverley’s masterclasses really informative and clear. I have learned new concepts and how these relate to core REBT principles, as well as new interventions and skills, many of which I have integrated into my therapy practice.  Being part of Beyond The Room has enabled me to be a more flexible and creative therapist, able to respond to the different needs of clients with appropriate and impactful interventions.”   Jon

“Having trained with Beverley in REBT and Integrative Therapy, joining Beyond the Room felt like a natural progression into a wider community of practitioners. The monthly format introduces valuable topics that reinforce and extend learning and are extremely beneficial to practice. The free and open exchange of ideas and therapeutic concepts with fellow practitioners is also incredibly valuable.I believe continual learning and updating are crucial for professional development, and Beyond the Room provides this. Being part of the group has allowed me to broaden the scope of my practice and develop a more pluralistic approach.”  Finuala
